Óisín is a mother of two and has always had a love for working with families. Since the birth of her first child she has volunteered as breastfeeding and pregnancy support locally, and discovered first-hand the incredible difference a doula could make in a birth experience.
She has trained as a birth and postpartum doula with BirthBliss Academy and has continued her training by becoming an Evidence Based Birth pro member, as well as certifying in childbirth education so as to provide a wider spread of knowledge regarding birth in Ireland and the maternity systems that are in place. She believes that making information accessible to parents is the key to allowing them to make informed decisions about their birth experience.
Óisín has an air of calm and compassion, and has worked with many women through their anxieties regarding birth and the early days after their baby arrives. She is passionate about being able to support expecting and new mothers in whatever way they feel important to them.
